Whitfield Reminds Seniors Enrollment for Medicare Part D Begins Today

U.S. Rep. Ed Whitfield (KY-01) reminded constituents that open enrollment for Medicare Part D begins today. Medicare Part D provides outpatient prescription drug coverage for America's seniors. During the open enrollment period, Medicare beneficiaries can join or switch to a different plan, or opt to continue with the plan they are currently enrolled in. Enrollment runs through December 7, 2015.

"I am proud to have helped establish this important program that continues to provide seniors with access to affordable prescription drugs," said Whitfield. "Medicare Part D is saving seniors and taxpayers money, and continues to receive high satisfaction rates among its beneficiaries."
